Meizu 16TH launched in India with SD845, 8GB ram and 128GB storage

Remember Meizu ? They are back with a new Flagship Android smartphone in India. Meizu 16TH they call it. It is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 Octacore processor and comes with 8GB of ram and 128GB of storage. MRP price for this model is Rs 41,999. Current lowest selling price on Amazon.in is Rs 39,999.

So is it worth the money ? Is it better than the OnePlus 6T or Honor V20 ? Let's check out the remaining specs.

The display on the Meizu 16TH is a 6 inch Full HD+ Notchless Super AMOLED screen. Like many other 2019 phones, this too ships with an in-display fingerprint scanner to unlock the phone. Meizu claims it is 28% faster than other in-display fingerprint scanners. It also comes with IR based Face unlock feature which is more secure than the regular face unlock.

In the camera department, it features a Dual Camera setup on the back. There is a 12MP + 20MP sensor combo on the back and a 20MP front shooter for your selfies. The main sensor on the back is a 1/2.3 inch Sony IMX380 sensor with a large pixel size of 1.55 µm. ( Read Camera Review here )

Like all other Meizu phones, it ships with Flyme 7 OS based on Android 8 Oreo. It will get an OTA update to Android 7 Pie. Meizu has equipped this with a 3010mAh battery which supports mCharge fast charging technology.

Meizu has other phones named Meizu 16 and Meizu 16 Plus which are currently not available in India.

Reasons to Buy Meizu 16th
  • If you are one of those people who absolutely hate Notch and want a good powerful device, this will be a good buy for you.
  • Dual Camera setup with Sony IMX380 sensor
  • Super AMOLED display
  • 8GB ram
  • 4 Axis optical image stabilization
  • 3.5mm jack
  • Sony LDAC
Reasons Not to Buy Meizu 16th
  • A bit late to the party in my opinion. We are going to Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 powered devices soon like OnePlus 7, Mi 9 etc soon in India. So for Rs 39,999, i don't think there would be a lot of takers.
  • Flyme OS based on Android 8 Oreo.

[ FIX ] Ubuntu 20.04 Bluetooth doesn't Turn On

I have been using a Logitech Bluetooth keyboard for a while now with my Ubuntu 20.04. Everything worked well without any issues until one day the operating system refused to turn on the Bluetooth. I could toggle Bluetooth On button from the Settings, but it did nothing.  After spending some time Google Searching why my Bluetooth started not working all of a sudden, and after trying a variety of commands to troubleshoot the problem, I finally found a working fix for this issue. Open a Terminal ( Ctrl + Alt + T )  and enter below commands one after another.  sudo rmmod btusb sudo modprobe btusb That's it. Your Bluetooth issue would be now solved.  I can guarantee you this problem is going to pop-up every now and then. So copy the above commands to a text file for future uses. Sometimes, even after entering above commands the bluetooth would refuse to turn on. In such cases, just Suspend the system and then wake up it again and check.
